Dry firewood burns better and gives more heat. A wooden woodshed protects logs from rain and snow while letting air circulate freely – exactly what's needed to dry firewood.
Types of woodsheds
- Free-standing woodshed with a mono-pitch roof.
- Woodshed against a house or shed wall – an extension.
- Combined canopy – for firewood, garden tools or a car.
How to choose a woodshed
- Size – work out how much firewood you use per season.
- Ventilation – the walls must let air circulate, e.g. boards with gaps.
- Floor – firewood shouldn't sit directly on the ground.
- Roof overhang – to keep the rain out.
- Location – close to the house but observing fire safety.
Does a woodshed need approval?
In Latvia, small outbuildings up to 25 m² outside cities usually don't need approval. Read more in the article Does a gazebo need a building permit?

How we work: from 3D design to installation
For standard designs, we already have a ready 3D design we can send and show you – you'll see how the finished structure will look before you order.
For non-standard designs, our specialist visits and takes measurements. Then we prepare a 3D design or sketch. Once you approve it, we make all the parts in our workshop, bring them over and install the structure on site.
